The 49th Festival of Busselton is set to be action packed, with a range of different events planned over the two weeks. A deckchair cinema in Dunsborough will start the Festival on Tuesday, January 8 and the last official event will be the closing night fireworks and concert on Saturday January 19.

Festival highlights include:
Young Ambassador competition.
The sail training ship Leeuwin will be visiting Busselton for four days over the first weekend of the festival.
Pirates Competition on Saturday January 12.
Free deckchair cinemas.
A skydiving display, marine flare display and aerial firefighting demonstration is planned to follow the Children’s Treasure Hunt on the beach in front of the Equinox Cafe on Saturday January 19. The closing night concert on Saturday January 19, promises to be a highlight with the announcment of the Young Ambassador winners and a fireworks display to close the festival.

Be Active Busselton Jetty Swim 2014 will be held over 2 days, with fun activities and family entertainment for all ages. The swim itself will take place on the morning of Sunday 10th February 2013. Registrations open on 1 October 2012, with those who enter before 30 November 2012, going into the draw to win a fantastic prize. Entry is still only $40.00 per person. The course takes participants around the 3.6 km of Busselton’s iconic Jetty, in the tranquil waters of Geographe Bay. Individuals and teams of two and four persons will take part in one of South West WA’s most famous sporting events. Over 1000 swimmers take part each year, from first-time novice entrants to experienced professional competitors. Enter the best jetty swim in the world, or come along and join in the fun and cheer them along.

Western Australia`s round of the Australian Rally Championship - The Quit Forest Rally - attracts Australia`s best cars and drivers, including the best classic cars. The rally also incorporates motor bikes, making it a weekend of Motor Sport Extravaganza.
Spectators can get up close to the action on the Busselton foreshore, Nannup plantations, and the Service Park, in the main street of Nannup.
