People looking for something just a little different, with a personal touch, with pretty high standards of comfort, and a bit of peace and quiet. You'll love nature, the trees, birds and animals, but won't mind a little luxury to come home to. But most of all you'll want to be treated as our valued guest where you feel welcomed and cared for. A bit about us: Our family connection to this area goes back to the early 1920's when Pete's (maternal) grandfather - Mr Dick Perry was one of the first apprentices at the new Forest Department school at Ludlow. Dick was (much later) awarded the Order of Australia for his pioneering forestry, entermology and conservation work. Pete's Mum and Dad moved to Busselton in the mid 70's and were the owners of the Mitre 10 hardware, then in Prince St. for over 10 years, prior to retirement here. Suzanne had a distinguished career in property management rising to an Associate Directorship at Roy Weston, and as the Centre Manager of City Arcade. Leaving that industry she bought Maxwell's Cafe in Hampden Rd, Nedlands. She was nominated for the coveted Gold Plate award, with a business that was popular with people like the Premier Richard Court, Lord Mayor Dr Natrass, Sir Jack Brabham, to name a few. Her next food venture was Alixandra Farm Cafe/Gallery in Denmark, where the food was so good that one ecstatic diner described it as "better than sex!" Peter's career was in the Travel and Tourism industry and included roles with Ansett, DeBrett's, Jetset and Thomas Cook Travel; as a Travel agency owner (Quartermaine Travel, Travelpac, and Club Travel) and as a travel industry trainer with Jetset, AFTA and TAFE. He also served as the State Chairman of the AITT. He later worked with Suzanne as a partner in both the restaurants and together they managed the Waterfront Resort in Denmark, and established www.denmarkholidays.com.au. We all need to earn a living and it is a bonus when you get to do something you love. Our love of hospitality, meeting and making new friends made it an easy choice to create Inn the Tuarts. Our vision with Inn the Tuarts is to bring together our skills, love of the environment and this magnificent property, to welcome you to hospitality and unique individual accommodation of the highest standard.
